The PCRW4816K CD-RW drive delivers outstanding data and audio read/write performance. Meeting the demands for faster and more reliable drives, Philips' PCRW4816K CD-ReWriter achieves 48x (7.2 Mbytes/s) CD recording and 16x (2.4 Mbytes/s) CD rewriting, with suitably rated disk media. Its performance is rounded off by 48x read capability both for audio extraction and for standard data transfer. With CD's unfailing popularity as the primary format for audio and data storage, the PCRW4816K delivers faithful operation users can rely on. Employing the latest 'Seamless Link' technology, unsuccessful recordings due to 'buffer underruns' are virtually eliminated. By automatically pausing and restarting processing to accommodate buffer refills, a continuous, unbroken recording is ensured. Recording integrity is further enhanced by 'Thermo Balanced Writing', a system which optimizes the drive's writing strategy to match individual disk quality. For immediate CD creation, the drive comes complete with the powerful Nero software. Simple and intuitive, this includes a 'drag-and-drop' user-interface for fast, easy production of all kinds of CD recordings, including MP3 audio compilations.
