The Compaq TaskSmart N2400 is the first high-performance network attached storage (NAS) appliance to deliver the breakthrough economics and seamless integration of industry-standard technology, now making it easy for enterprises to deploy and manage advanced file storage. The Compaq TaskSmart N2400 is the first in a family of network attached storage solutions optimized for Windows NT file server consolidation and heterogeneous file serving. In addition to the stand alone configuration the TaskSmart N-Series Cluster enables customers to meet growing data capacity and complexity requirements. The TaskSmart N-Series Cluster will provide customers with mission-critical levels of reliability and uptime, while providing scalability beyond 10TB of data storage. Scalable from 144 GB up to 2 TB in the stand alone configuration and providing scalability beyond 10 TB of data storage in the clustered configuration, the solution includes all software and hardware necessary for high-performance file serving and storage consolidation in one integrated, optimized and tuned package providing fast and easy deployment. It can be managed using a standard browser and is integrated with Compaq Insight Manager for easy manageability.
