VERITAS Backup Exec is the system of choice for high performance, reliable Windows NT and Windows 2000 data protection - and the most comprehensive solution for growing networks. As the first backup solution designed for Windows NT/Windows 2000, Backup Exec incorporates database protection and storage management options for today's highly specialized networking environment. These agents are specifically designed for complex messaging and transactional intensive databases, along with options for storage system management and server recovery that can be installed from any centralized backup server. ADSM Option allows access to the full line of mid-range/mainframe hardware and ADSM software utilizing the ADSM system as a large data storage device. Backups can be automatically routed to the ADSM system just as if it were a large tape library or autoloader. Additional clients can be purchased to provide flexibility for multiple backup servers access to ADSM. VERITAS VIP OPEN LICENSE PROGRAM The VERITAS VIP volume software license program is a cost effective way for all IT managers to easily acquire and deploy licensed VERITAS products. The scaling volume incentives, purchasing flexibility and expense-forecasting capabilities of VIP can significantly reduce the net cost of software ownership. Substantial incentive discounts are attractive to either single sites or global enterprises. The VERITAS VIP Open License Program contains service plans for technical support and maintenance called Technical Support Services.
