The Cinergy HT USB XE receives digital and analog TV - and all that for a very attractive price. The ideal way to enter the world of watching television on your laptop or computer! The handy TV tuner is easily connected to any USB 2.0 port and instantly brings you all of the programs available in your broadcasting area. With just a few clicks in the TerraTec Home Cinema software (included with the package), you can toggle between analog and digital television. This makes the Cinergy HT USB XE ideal for watching digital and analog TV in your home office or workplace. It can also be used as a mobile DVB-T receiver while on vacation, for example, or sitting out on your friends' patio. No matter where you go, you can take your TV card with you. Putting it to use is so easy, a child could do it: Just plug the Cinergy HT USB XE into an available USB 2.0 port and connect a house antenna, an analog TV cable or the provided DVB-T antenna. The latter, of course, is the best option for mobile use - after all, digital video broadcasting is available in many metropolitan areas. Just install the TerraTec Home Cinema TV software, and you're done! In addition to the functions offered by normal home cinema systems, such as timeshifting, electronic program guides (EPG) and digital video recording, the TerraTec Home Cinema offers a few new functions: you can scan through current television listings via remote programming over the Internet, and you can program the system to record with just a click of the mouse. The computer boots up from standby or sleep mode precisely when the chosen television show begins and then saves it on your hard drive automatically. It's even easier to record using the electronic program guide, or directly, while a program is in progress. Just press the corresponding button on the remote control. No matter how you plan your recordings, they can be viewed immediately, even while the recording is in progress! Your Cinergy HT USB XE has even more capabilities when used in conjunction with TerraTec Home Cinema software: Automatic optimization of aspect ratio, Dolby digital (AC3) recording, teletext and subtitles, DVB radio support (where broadcasted) and user-defined favorites lists (genre, location), multi-tuner support, readily available help functions, and the commercial editor Cut!, which now makes it even easier to remove blocks of commercials.
