The Targus Modem Shield is a pocket-sized device that prevents costly modem damage by testing the line before you plug in your modem. Simply connect the Targus Modem Shield to the intended phone jack and check the "traffic light" indicator – green for "go" or red for "stop" – to tell if a safe connection can be made. The Targus Modem Shield will block digital overcurrent from destroying your PC card modem.
