The Data Express DE100 is a steel-constructed drive carrier and receiving frame for mounting a 3.5-inch SCSI or AT/IDE drive into any standard half-height 5.25-inch form factor peripheral bay (minimum 1.7 inch high). For SCSI connections, the DE100 is available in 8-bit or 16-bit single-ended or 16-bit Ultra160 (S.E./LVD) interfaces. Some DE100 models support 80-pin single-connect (SCA) 16-bit drive types. Also available are models that support AT/IDE, including Ultra ATA/100 interfaces. Newer technology models are downward compatible with previous technologies.
