InfoStation is family of intelligent and rugged, RAID-ready or JBOD, tower, desktop and rack-mount chassis designed to reliably house 3.5 inch half-height or low-profile, single-connect (SCA) SCSI drives. Each InfoStation comes equipped with removable drive carriers and can support from one to four host channels. The nine and 14-bay, self-monitoring, modular backplane enclosures can be upgraded from simple JBOD chassis to a fully redundant enclosure with single or dual, active-active RAID controllers for advanced Ultra160 SCSI or Fiber Channel applications while the 4-bay is perfect for increasing drive capacity on the desktop. The InfoStation II family consists of 4-bay desktop and 14-bay rack-mount and tower models. Versions offered include single, dual and quad host models which support single and dual optional RAID Controller Modules or can be used for JBOD applications.
