DirXML is a solution that enables enterprise management of data with the goal of dramatically reducing the costs of managing all these different databases and directories. XML (Extensible Markup Lanuage) is extremely flexible and allows a means for representing data that can be passed between different applications. DirXML is the technology that translates information into XML, then will transfer that information into the separate directories/databases that a corporation has. In order to do this though, a driver must be created that will allow the DirXML Engine to communicate with the directory. The DirXML NT Domain Driver is an "application shim" that provides synchronization capabilities between Microsoft NT Domains and Novell eDirectory 8.5. The driver ensures that any changes made in eDirectory are reflected in the NT domain and vice versa.Product Description | DirXML Driver for Windows NT Domain - media | Category | Networking applications | Subcategory | Network - connectivity & data sharing | License Type | Media | Licensing Program | Novell Volume License Agreement, Novell Corporate License Agreement | Point Value | 3.5 points | Platform | Windows, NetWare, Solaris | Distribution Media | Electronic | OS Required | Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft Windows 2000, SunSoft Solaris 2.6 or later, Novell NetWare 5.x |
