The MultiMux MMH-Series statistical multiplexer consolidates up to eight data channels for transmission over one synchronous or asynchronous analog, ISDN or digital line. This multiplexer has a solid reputation as a reliable multi-user solution and is ideal for small to midsize companies that want to connect remote terminals and PCs to a central site legacy system. The MultiMux is a statistical time division multiplexer. It aggregates bandwidth allowing active users to share all of the available bandwidth, unlike frequency and time division multiplexers. Frequency and time division multiplexers dedicate a portion of the bandwidth to each user. So even when a channel is active, the bandwidth cannot be used by others. Asynchronous devices gain improved accuracy when connected to MultiMux. Features supported by MultiMux include buffering, flow control, and pacing features. This means the MultiMux supports high traffic levels without compromising data integrity.
