The iMcV-Gigabit series of SNMP manageable Media Converters performs a physical layer conversion between 1000Base-T and 1000Base-SX or LX networks, extending network distances up to 70Km. Supporting multi-mode, single-mode and single-strand fiber types, iMcV-Gigabit converters are ideal for multiple applications involving Gigabit Ethernet within the premises LAN and service provider network infrastructures. For example, use iMcV-Gigabit to connect Gigabit backbone switches to the fiber optic riser or horizontal cabling in the LAN.
