You'll view high resolution MPEG-2 video and decode Dolby Digital (AC-3) 5.1-channel audio to create a theater-like experience from the newest DVD titles, including feature-length movies. In fact, this card allows you to play MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and DVD-video titles. If the title you are playing supports Dolby Digital 5.1, you can attach a six-speaker system to the card through its S/P DIF connector and experience incredible surround sound. The card also has a stereo output for 2-channel analog audio. This card gives you the option of playing the title on your television through its NTSC/PAL output or, if you prefer the higher resolution that your monitor can provide, the card will display at full-screen or in a resizable window.
