Now you get the high reliability characteristics of serial storage architecture (SSA) technology with the advanced serial RAID/X adapter. The adapter allows failover even if arrays are degraded, continues to access the data in the arrays if either the host or adapter fails and provides dynamic reconfiguring when disk drives are removed or added to loops. It brings 160 mbytes/sec SSA performance to servers. Supports up to six adapters in some hosts and extends capacity to over 9.8 tbytes on Raid 5. Includes full stride writes that increases performance on Raid 5 by writing whole array width. Provides SSA remote systems management (RSM) tool. Can be used standalone or integrated into Netfinity manager for Windows NT users to allow remote access via the web.
