IBM is extending the performance range of its mainstream video adapter solutions with the 32MB NVIDIA GeForce2 MX AGP 4X Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). The GeForce 2 MX is so well matched to today's new systems that it was recently featured on the Intel 815 chipset press tour as the "AGP 4X with Fast Writes GPU of choice". The IBM 32MB NVIDIA GeForce2 MX AGP 4X GPU delivers blazingly fast 2D and 3D graphics capability, with its transform and lighting engines providing over 20 million sustained triangles per second and its rendering subsystem providing 700 million texels per second. It incorporates NVIDIA's new Digital Vibrance Control (DVC) technology, which makes all visuals more crisp, colorful, and vibrant. In many office environments, fluorescent lighting makes visuals washed out and muted. With DVC, 2D and 3D graphics, images, and video are much brighter and cleaner thereby reducing eyestrain and improving the viewing experience.
