Up to 22 FAStT EXP500 Storage Expansion Units can be attached to a single Netfinity FAStT500 RAID Controller Unit in a dual-loop configuration for up to 7TB of total storage per controller. This storage expansion unit supports converged carrier fiber channel drives in capacities up to 36.4GB. 3U rackable form factor with the support of slim-high or half-high fiber channel hot-swap drives makes possible to mount up to 14 units into an industry-standard 42U rack. Full fiber-to-fiber support that limits performance bottlenecks, support of both single- and dual-loop configurations and converged carrier fiber channel hard disk drives support provide the high performance of this module. SAF-TE (SCSI Accessed Fault-Tolerant Enclosures) capability lets you replace and upgrade components without interrupting your vital computing services. This reliable fully redundant unit features hot-plug redundant power supplies and dual-cooling fans, built-in Light-Path Diagnostic technologies to warn of faults, over-temperature and other environmental concerns.
