Compaq Fortran for Tru64 UNIX Alpha Systems, (formerly Digital FORTRAN for Digital UNIX), is an extended implementation of FORTRAN 95, conforming to the following standards: ISO 1539-1995(E) - FORTRAN 95, ISO 1539-1991(E) - FORTRAN 90, ANSI X3.198-1992 - FORTRAN 90, ISO 1539-1980(E) - FORTRAN 77, ANSI X3.9-1978 - FORTRAN 77, ANSI X3.9-1966 - FORTRAN IV, MIL-STD-1753, and FIPS-69-1. Compaq FORTRAN fully supports the multi-vendor OpenMP FORTRAN specification, including support for directed parallel processing using OpenMP directives on shared memory multiprocessor systems. Compaq FORTRAN enables programmers to write optimized parallel programs using the standardized language features of High Performance Fortran. Compaq FORTRAN is the first fully integrated compiler that can efficiently and reliably exploits multiple computers interconnected over standard networks such as FDDI.
