The AXIS StorPoint CD E100 server is the fastest, most efficient, and cost effective solution for sharing CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs and DVDs over networks. This optimized solution makes the networked disks easily accessible to all users at all times. The AXIS StorPoint CD E100 features the ETRAX 100 processor, which brings data throughput up to 2700 kB/s over a 100 Mbit network (depending on the client, caching, and protocols) coupled with a higher level of integration. The AXIS StorPoint CD E100 supports hard disk caching. Accessing a disk generally takes 10 milliseconds or less, compared to the nearly 100 milliseconds required in ordinary CD/DVD server solutions. Caching also increases storage capacity. Data from up to 255 CD/DVDs can be stored, managed and displayed as individual disks, even if you have only one single CD/DVD-drive installed in your tower! AXIS StorPoint CD E100 takes full advantage of the latest Axis ThinServer Technology as it includes "thin" versions of all major operating systems.
