At the heart of most networked CD-ROM server solutions is the AXIS StorPoint CD. Used by virtually all the major CD/DVD tower vendors worldwide, the AXIS StorPoint CD is known for performance, quality and value. Thousands of companies network their CDs and DVDs with the AXIS StorPoint CD technology, more than with any other solution. AXIS StorPoint CD E100 supports the most complete list of networking protocols and operating systems, simultaneously. Whether users are running NetWare (Bindery or NDS), Windows NT, OS/2, UNIX, or Web, they can access on-line CD/DVD data at the same time over any network. The AXIS StorPoint CD is now available with hard disk caching support for applications requiring hard disk speed, and for archiving CDs to a hard disk to expand the number of CDs available on-line to users. Based on Axis' ThinServer Technology, the AXIS StorPoint CD includes everything needed to connect CD/DVD ROM drives to the network. It is file server independent, which means it doesn't tie up file server computing and IO resources. It requires no client or server software to install. Users simply plug in their Ethernet or Token Ring connector and use the Web-based installation wizard for quick installation. The AXIS StorPoint CD has a built-in, intuitive, comprehensive Web interface for management from any browser, anywhere on the network. All that is required is a PC and a network connection. Access to CDs and DVDs is provided through standard PC interface tools: Windows Explorer, NetWare clients or Web browser. In addition, AXIS StorPoint DISCO makes accessing and organizing CDs and DVDs even easier.
