Micro AsantéPrint lets you connect up to eight LocalTalk printers, or other LocalTalk devices, to a high-speed Ethernet network. It offers an easy and inexpensive way to share resources over mixed Ethernet/LocalTalk environments. Micro AsantéPrint works right out of the box. The unit auto-senses the type of Ethernet cable being connected (thick, thin or 10BaseT) and auto-selects between AppleTalk Phase 1 and 2 protocols, reducing installation to a matter of seconds. Additional management and security features are provided through AsantéPrint Manager management software and Advanced Network Security Protocol (ANSP) security software. AsantéPrint Manager monitors network traffic, providing the network manager with extensive statistics for diagnosing performance and error conditions.
